Our story

because of logan

On May 27th 2021 our daughter Logan fell into our backyard pond while a family friend was watching her. On May 28th, she went home to Jesus. Since Logan’s accident, my family and I have been on a journey to educate ourselves and our communities near and far on water safety and drowning prevention so not one more child drowns.

Drowning is the leading cause of death in children ages 1-4. We had no clue how problematic drowning is, and now we are on a mission to END childhood drowning one float at a time.

Along with becoming an ISR instructor we have created the Because of Logan non-profit to honor the life of Logan, through swim safety awareness, education, training and support of families who have endured a loss through childhood drowning.
